Four Years Later...
I haven’t written anything in quite a while, and after reading this you may understand. I took time to make some major life changes, suffered some expected setbacks, and wanted to settle in and create some semblance of normalcy before I tried to put it into words.

Beginning Phases
What is life? I have a million ideas at once but just need money to be able to relax and live my life. I just had an idea of if I started a series where I walked up to people and asked what their job was, and their least and favorite thing about the holidays, their cities, America, etc.

Want of a man
Don’t think of it as having high standards. But I have ideas on what I want in a partner. ~~~~~><~~><~~><~~~~~ For a man, I want him to be tall. I want a man who glances down at me and sees someone who is worthy of receiving love. When he peers into my hazel eyes, he sees a woman who will stay by his side, no matter the toils and issues. He looks down, and he sees a woman who will never stray, never tries and make him feel worthless, and loves him for his being.

Happy Birthday to me
Today is my birthday! Reflecting on my last year and all the years that brought me here is a trip! Day 3 reflection I mostly knew chocolate in the form of candy bars and syrups commercially. I remember learning about the Aztecs and how they drank chocolate every day, with chiles, and thinking that it sounded like heaven. Of course, their chocolate must have been so rich and complex, while ours is refined and overly processed. I remember my first sip of ceremonial cacao and it being a bit bitter and adding so much sugar (I am sad to admit!) In later years, I'd grow to like the bitter taste of pure dark chocolate, and I haven't returned to ceremonial cacao. As I await my shipment from Ora, I am so excited to try this drink once again. To deepen my understanding of the flavors and profiles in cacao, I had the most alarming understanding today… there is chocolate in quite a bit I eat, and I haven't eradicated it all just yet. So, while I continue this process, I will slowly remove those chocolates I had not realized were only adding to the problem of destroying the cacao industry! Being more intentional about what we consume is essential, and this has only solidified that idea for me.

Setting the angel free
Identity is a strange concept, one that is heavily debated, as if the right answer lies just out of reach. Is it a fluid notion? Are we the choices we make? Are we made up of the things we love? Or is our identity like our safe haven. A home, buried deep within, a place of refuge, that no matter where life takes us, we revert back to, for self preservation.
