Making the Right Decision
In the past year, I made a critical decision to exit a toxic business environment that had brought me significant emotional and professional distress. During the economic uncertainty of 2022-2023, exacerbated by the challenges posed by COVID-19, I made certain decisions that led me into an unfit and unethical individuals professional attachment . The individuals I dealt with were engaged in fraudulent activities, morally disengaged, wretched and demonstrated a severe lack of commitment . My time investment was disrespected, and I found myself in a situation where betrayal, and unethical behavior were rampant. After a period of reflection, I decided to exit this situation and pursue a path aligned with my values and professional integrity.

2025 so far:
While this may come across as oversharing, I consider it a gift of vulnerability. As Brené Brown said, "Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change." By sharing my journey, I hope to inspire and encourage those who can relate to my experiences. Embracing vulnerability allows us to forge deeper, more authentic connections with ourselves and with others.

Revelations and False Prophets
Growing up Protestant, I was taught that revelations were sacred moments — divine messages directly from God. They were celebrated in sermons, testimonies, and small group discussions as proof of His presence in our lives. But my revelation wasn’t met with celebration. It was met with doubt, resistance, and eventually, my questioning of the very faith I’d grown up with.

Breaking Down the Question: "Are You One of Those Feminist Types?" and My Truthful Answer
I experienced being watched long before I understood what feminism meant. I came to see that there was a persistent, ravenous gaze on all women. It establishes the boundaries between right and wrong, specifies the moral patterns a girl must exhibit, and reaffirms our core beliefs. Such surveillance has the peculiar quality of quickly turning inward, turning you into a voyeur of yourself. I spent almost my entire adolescence performing what I thought was most attractive.

Millennium Puzzle Pieces
Kai sat cross-legged on his twin bed in his mom’s cramped Brooklyn apartment, scrolling through apartment listings on his laptop. Most of the units were wildly out of budget or looked like they’d collapse in a strong wind. But even the overpriced shoeboxes were tempting compared to where he was now.
