My September Thoughts

Life is passing by

I have always been an observant person, but over the years, I believe that age has made me notice more than just what passes in front of my eyes.

After the pandemic occurred and I isolated myself at home, alone... My thoughts grew. I saw most of life passing by on a screen, whether it was large or small. That was the interaction I had with the world outside

I started to notice things I hadn’t seen before. Things that were basic and others that were far beyond my previous knowledge. This opened up a vast range of possibilities for my mind. And the greatest realization, which might be a bit too realistic, is that life passes by!

The weight of this reality kept me awake all night, thinking about the people I’ve lost, those I never got to know, and those I will leave behind when I’m gone. It might seem pessimistic to some to talk this way, but it isn’t truly so. Being grounded in the reality of life, although very difficult and heavy, is the best thing for a human being. Unfortunately, most people are afraid of reality. Many even prefer to live in illusion because they lack the courage to free themselves from the system we’ve created, which imprisons us daily.

Yesterday, I saw a man laugh when a woman, an elderly lady, fell into a hole in the sidewalk. He just looked at her, laughed, and went on his way.

I wondered, as I stopped to help along with others—women as well—what is happening to people, and especially to men? At what point in their lives did they lose the ability to feel even the slightest empathy for others?

How can someone pass by another human being and simply turn their face, pretending not to see that for just one minute, they could do something good, like help an elderly lady get up after a fall? At what point is human cruelty destroying each of us?

One person's human selfishness can end up ruining the lives of everyone around them. And it's not an exaggeration. It's like the story about a butterfly flapping its wings and everything around it changing because it's an action that causes other actions.

The system we've created that traps us in bubbles of insanity is literally destroying people. The planet will continue after we’re gone, which is a good thing, because I actually agree with Agent Smith in The Matrix when he says that we are just a virus that destroys everything it touches. Yes, I agree with him!

This is why I feel sad about the reality that life is passing by, because unfortunately, I have to coexist with people who walk around, unleashed on the streets, living their own particular insanity and spreading it to the world, contaminating everyone. It’s horrible!

If I were a depressive person, I would be in a very complicated situation today. Yesterday, I saw a video of a girl crying because she was experiencing severe anxiety and thinking about taking her own life. Her mother was shouting at her as if she were doing it for attention. The woman was literally yelling, accusing her daughter of everything wrong in her life.

Luckily, I was born with self-esteem, because otherwise, in today’s world, I would have many problems. It’s very upsetting to see how people are not recognizing a simple absolute truth: Life is passing by!

You cannot claim that what you are today will be the same tomorrow. What you have in terms of values, wealth, health, friends, and so on will not always be the same. Because it won’t!

For my first thought of September that I want to share with you: life passes. So, don’t waste time on things that won’t improve your soul or evolve your spirit. The best thing to do is to try to become human again.

Look at the person next to you and see them! Reach out for a minute and help them up! Listen to those who cry out for help and understand that it is desperation. Do something!

Don't judge others. You will never be in their shoes! Be human! It’s difficult, I know... But you can try. Start again. Look to the side, give a smile, lend a hand, listen, hug... Little by little, you cleanse your soul and reconnect with your inner energy, and things around you will start to change.

Thank you for reading my thoughts. I will share more soon. Follow me to receive updates. And be human! Be happy! Reconnect.
