Introduction

I do wonder this at times, am I the best at anything? I am continually complimented and praised so the implication is that I might be good at something.

What Could I Be Good At?

I do think I have a good, eclectic taste in music and my writing on Vocal, and because of my style generally including a song with my story, I discover new music like this one "Best" by Gracie Abrams and I think my Vocal Sister Melissa will love this song.

While I may not be the best at certain things I am often the goto person when people need something doing they can't do. Often they have the same resources that I have, but I have a talent for unearthing obscure solutions to problems.

I can't always do it, but I will always try, and that is something I enjoy doing.

If you think of the cat photos that I take every day and often share on Instagram, these are just a result of my observation of the moment rather than me deliberately looking for cats. I know where they will tend to be and am a little sad when I no longer see certain ones, but there are always new ones that appear. These are two that were sat on walls yesterday, and they are good examples of catching things in the moment.

I know it is unlikely that I will ever catch these poses again, so I am glad that I did.

I never went to University and my "A" Level results were not stunning, but I have managed to keep in work for most of my life mainly in IT and related areas. I am not good with the mechanics but I do like putting things together to get positive results.

Essentially there is a source, and then I do something with it and deliver a result. I suppose you can say that about anything in life, like a meal. You have ingredients, you put them together, and the result is a meal. I think I am a reasonable cook, but nowhere near the best. I also try and look out for people and offer help if they need it, I don't know if that is me wanting to feel better about myself, but I do believe we should always help others if we can, and they want it. I do know I am a successful Vocal Creator and that is something that I never saw happening. I do know that in some ways writing is the easiest creative form (although not everyone can do it) because you can easily fine-tune your work, especially on Vocal with the QuickEdit facility.

I have surprised myself that I can write poetry. I am not sure how real poets would consider my work but I do consider myself one of the best villanelle writers on Vocal, to the point I produced this on how to write a villanelle:

I have recently started going back to Preston and on my last visit was very impressed with these benches in Avenham Park, I have been looking for a reason to share this picture.

Whether people like it or not I do love sharing things with people, which is one of the reasons I love writing on Vocal.

Conclusion

Am I the best at something? Probably not, but I know that I am very good at a lot of things and that makes me very happy.
