View From A Hill

A Thoughtpiece

By Mike Singleton ๐Ÿ’œ Mikeydred Published 8 months ago โ€ข 1 min read
Standing Stone, Hulne Park, Alnwick Looking North To Scotland

To stand at the top of a hill on a sunny day and see the view stretching out to the far horizon. See green fields, water in ponds and rivers, forests of trees, going further and further to the Northern hills.

In the blue skies, you might see fluffy clouds and birds flying, and you are standing at the top of the hill just watching.

Listen to the wind and hear the birds singing.

All this soothes your soul and raises your spirits.

All your senses are stimulated in the most relaxing way, and if you were happy when you came, you feel much happier now, and never want to leave, but when you do, you will feel renewed, and you will know that you will come here again soon.

Look out over the land and take in the beauty, bathe yourself in it, feel the joy of just being here.

Feel the magic that nature brings, it is beautiful.

Enjoy Life.

That description of the hilltop view sounds amazing. It makes me think of a similar experience I had once. Standing on a high point, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. It really does soothe the soul. What's the most memorable view you've ever seen from a hilltop? And how did it make you feel? I'm curious to hear about others' experiences like this. It's great to be reminded of how powerful nature can be in lifting our spirits.
