Talented Black Vocal creator #10, Ariel Celeste

She tells it like it is! I love it.

Ariel Celeste caught my eye today. The sort of raw down-home truths that flow from her words made me stop and go...oh wow! She is not holding back.

The mission is bigger than the bullshit. My ancestors tell me plain and clear, “Ariel, as long as you good… we good.” Me, my safety and wellbeing come first and foremost. I release, I am free, my time belongs to the goddess in me.

I would check boxes but not check in with myself. Not foreal anyway. I’d always be in the mirror but the information I took in was surface level. I never went a layer deeper and made eye contact with my reflection. Voyeurism as they call it, perhaps.

I saw myself for so long through the lens of what other people “must see me as.” I would let the narratives about me shape the way I showed up in the world. A manifestation of everyone’s dream is the secret to becoming a dream girl.

I was always rushing and running to go nowhere fast. I appreciate Bob Marley for giving me a page out of his book. Now, I know for sure that I gotsta take it easy, Skanking (a dance).

Here is a part of her break-up Nonet...the sass is palpable.

No more sweet kisses farewell.

This love is over.

Faded, Fainted-

Now opaque…

Be free!

Ciao!

"I dream in my awake state and I’m wide awake when most others in this world are sleeping. I dream of a planet that resembles this planet’s looks and features but rather, Mother Earth is dressed in a pair of coveralls. Rather than the misery and despair we have in this meta version. Theres a theta version of earth in which I exist only to create.

In this Earth II, it’s just me, air, wind, fire, water and animals. Our original planet design. My full focus becomes keeping the main thing the main thing. Right now, that is reflecting Earth’s beauty back through art, dance, writing and poetry. I am blessed to be on this planet of paradise. Alone when I need space and together with others when there’s a lesson to be learned. Right now, I’m learning that in this world, there are no enemies, only teachers.

Once the lesson has been learned, the game is simply to let go, release and come to a new arrangement. A new creation, if you will".

Ariel is a fascinating writer. She writes of her dad:

My dad is such a fascinating man, that I had to bring him to work for Show & Tell a few years ago. Before your imagination takes you to a land in which I’m a school teacher and this activity is part and parcel to my work terms, just stop. I work at one of the leading tech companies in the world. Yes, so I had to bring my dad to Show & Tell at Google. This way, more people could witness the phenom and the less I’d have to work at telling his story.

The prisons we put ourselves in are the most painful of all. It’s possible to live in paradise and still inhabit a grimy, grueling existence every time you open your eyes. This imaginary maximum security federal corrections facility is easily the reality of the majority of the population.

I know people who are institutionalized behind bars but you can’t convince them of that. I write letters to my brother in prison and he paints vivid pictures of a world without limitations. I read the pages and imagine our positions in society are reversed. He writes as if prison just so happens to be his dwelling place to pass the time. His mind is free. He writes of only positive things. He encourages me to keep my mind free. Are you as baffled as me?

I got lost in her stories, reading quite a few. Check out Ariel's profile, you will not be disappointed.

But she gets the last words in:

"Liberation is as simple as a conversation. Take time, sit with your ego, access your inner child and chat"
