Introduction

These are a few musings as Raymond G. Taylor brough "International Owl Awareness Day" to my attention with his excellent poem:

And More Superb Owl Stuff

I have included the excellent "What We Do In The Shadows Segment" on the Superb Owl, although it is also amusing the number of people in the USA who tell me I have made a mistake when I use the phrase.

I have written a few Owl-related stories on Vocal, such as Call Me Les's superb book, which my granddaughter Alexis loves:

Then an old one for a Vocal Challenge that readers liked but Vocal didn't 🦉😁

Grammarly keeps telling me to correct my spelling here:

Here is one of my favourite places in Newcastle, a really special shop:

Then this wonderful Owl Willow sculpture by Anna and The Willow:

And of course, one from Angie Livingstone, The Glittering Fox, which will feature in our forthcoming book. Many of her pictures feature Owls and of that means my poetry does as well:

There are many sites which have pages related to today, such as these:

Conclusion

Thank you for reading. I hadn't intended to write this, but Ray's poem was so good that I had to put this together.

I'm also close to Vocal Story 3210, which I shall title "Countdown"

Were you in Newcastle when Alan Robson's Night Owls was indispensable radio listening on Metro FM? Must have been in the 90s, when I was in sixth form. Cheap as chips programming, just a phone in through the small hours. Attracted all the oddities you might expect, often with impenetrable accents. Compelling stuff back then; probably tame by internet standards. Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

You are one 'wise' person and writer on this one. Owl's are special.

Owls are amazing creatures. I didn't know they also had a special day. I love your owl clock.
