Texans, especially Austinites, had a way about greeting people from Delaware. With tailored suits and no ties, flowery blouses, and cool demeanors, they shook hands with the Individualists. All with black faces of varying shades of black, CTO McCorey Gregor, white with freckles and dark brown hair, COO Karrie-Ann Weathers, petite but imposing with bright blonde hair, and the CEO Terrence Culver with jet black hair in locks shook all of their hands.

“This is quite a pleasant meeting with you,” Culver observed. He looked at Entrepreneur Paul Atkinson. “Entrepreneur Paul! You rascal, you! I heard you can turn a company around in less than a day.”

“I think that distinction belongs to Mrs. Breen,” Atkinson admitted.

The three out-of-towners shifted their gaze to Loreen.

“I can turn a company quickly, but nobody does it as neat and prim as my protégé Lisa Conway.”

“Well, Lisa, I’m glad you decided to invest in our company. Flying out to Delaware has been worth the wait,” Culver noted.

“We’d love to go over plans. Where’s your nearest hole in the wall?” Karrie-Ann asked.

“We frequent the Mercier Hotel most days. We’ll have lunch.”

“That sounds splendid,” Karrie-Ann pointed out.

“I’m not going.” Lisa stood still. “You all can go ahead without me. I’m not going to go sit down and talk about something I don’t feel passionate about,” Lisa proclaimed.

The three executives from Texas frowned. Loreen and Atkinson smoothed out their clothes and exhaled.

“If this is what you want, Lisa, then we can certainly let you go. You haven’t signed anything….” Gregor posited.

“Wait, Paul had early jitters, too. Now, he’s on board and the one who wanted to explore this new realm of rockets in private hands is taking a backseat. This can be fixed, right Lisa?” Loreen asked.
