Lisa and Atkinson looked at Loreen with a keen sense of wonder and concern.

“We’re going into the space…space?” Lisa asked.

“That’s right, and you’re going to be a billionaire like us,” Loreen nodded towards Atkinson. He looked like a treasure trove had been opened on a video game but seemed out of touch, out of reach.

“There’re going to be complications….” he spoke slowly and low.

“I’ve gone through the checklist. We can stay in Delaware and invest in private companies springing up in Texas. We can offer our support and dollars and receive massive returns,” Loreen reassured. She stood straight with her hands on her hips.

“I trust you. I know you’ve done the due diligence,” Atkinson mentioned. “But what about the companies? Just because you researched them doesn’t mean they did the research, too….”

Loreen laughed inaudibly. “I’ve learned more about the private space sphere from having CEOs and engineers come here to Delaware. I wanted to surprise you. I suspect you both are on board, nevertheless….”

Atkinson and Lisa looked at each other. They shrugged. Loreen produced a tablet and stylus and they emblazoned their names on the screen. It made it official. Atkinson still felt pangs of immediate regret upon signing, but those feelings dissipated when considering the fact Loreen had been at the helm of the deal…and he’d be three billion dollars richer.

“How’d you even get involved?” Lisa asked.

“I always wanted space flight to be privatized across the board. It’s happening now. It’s a passion and I can only hope that you both share with me. This is about the money, make no mistake, but I wish to see something beautiful in reality. That is to see as many rockets rise out of the atmosphere in the name of the best exploration.”
