I'm the guy who knows every last fact about Spider-man and if I don't I'll track it down. I love bad movies, enjoy table-top gaming, and probably would drive you crazy if you weren't ready for it.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 12: Finding Heaven Before Going to Hades
Hajime was smiling. He had just eaten a great meal and had been gifted the leftovers as well as a bag of takoyaki. The sun was in the sky with nary a cloud and he had a great job that involved a lot of travel. Better yet, his fortune cookie had said that his life was looking up.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 12: The Little Shoeshine Boy
The gargoyle dropped off the camera and flew out of the rook. Deezle the Defiler hooked the camera up to his laptop and proceeded to watch the footage. He became visibly more upset with every frame. At the end, he had to prevent himself from smashing the camera to bits or at least tossing it through a wall. He couldn't believe what he had seen; he hadn't expected the shade to survive; it was a minor demon at best and therefore imminently expendable, but it had practically died on arrival. The soldiers could have killed it.

Brass Ring Chapter 9: Bouncing Back From The Pain
Bruno smiled wistfully as he entered the doors of the Loaded Swallow. When he had accepted the position of Assistant Mayor, this had become Paul and his favorite place; it was far enough from the city offices to give him a legitimate break from his duties but close enough that he could run into the offices if the mayor needed a save. The position was perfect for him, especially as he had just retired from being The Corsair. He smelled a Reuben and knew Paul had beaten him here. For once. He smiled.

Brass Ring Chapter 10: Bruno Gets Back In The Saddle
Bruno loved the Reubens at the Loaded Swallow, and he savored his sandwich. Well, the one he had to order after my idiot boyfriend was gone. He was also scrolling through the paperwork for the Blue Card Program. He also checked to make sure that Paul was still listed as part of the program; while officially it was set up to make life easier for CAPES members, unofficially it was created to fuel a certain speedster while in the field. It was something he was happy to do; nothing was worse than a hungry speedster in an enclosed space. He had found that out when Paul was trapped by Tintran the Terrible several Christmases ago.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 10: The Sparrow Flees the Scene
There was, of course, a reason that there were no one guarding Hajime. That reason was running toward his old room as quickly as it could. The pair of Sal and Rick were going through guards as quickly as they saw them. The cultists were quickly learning the difference between ritualized duel and the realities of combat. The two of them were not afraid to use any tactic to succeed, whereas the cultists kept relying on their dueling skills.

Santa Claus' Post-Hallmark Staycation
When Santa Claus entered his bedroom, he smiled. Jessica had fallen asleep in front of the television. His wife of centuries (his dimples appeared as he remembered that her white locks hid the crimson of her youth) had fallen asleep watching some Hallmark movie. He turned off the television as he turned towards their bed. As he hung up his coat, a plan began to coalesce, one that brought a suppressed chuckle. But first, sleep; he was crashing from the sugar high of the night's ride and was already beginning to slow.

Brass Ring Chapter 8: The First Fight is Always the Hardest
Psyborg blasted away at the vault door of Ilsington Labs. While he had managed to knock out the office manager, the security guard had managed to get the door closed, initiating a time lock on the door. It was not opening up until the next day. He had bet his anger expressed through his arm laser would outlast the door. So far, his anger was winning. He would be through in another minute.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 9: Freeing A Sparrow From Its Cage
Sal and Rick were just outside the inn cum listening post. There had been no traffic in or out for the last hour; yet another signal to the surrounding area that this wasn't a regular inn. They quickly determined how to enter the building, and then walked to the building. It wasn't until they had reached the building that they noticed it had grown a few extra shadows, and that those shadows were pointier than they should be. They were actually happy to see them; that meant there were fewer of them inside, once they got past the guards on the outside.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 9: Your Exams Didn't Involve Getting Shot
The squad spent the rest of the afternoon planning an excursion into the nearest zone. They only had to get there, hopefully spend no more than a couple of minutes there, and then get back. They just had to pack a lot of ammunition, some water and food, and maybe some extra surprises for anything that they encountered there.

Brass Ring Chapter 7: The Clarity of Vision Due to Faith
Inside the fortress-like Church of Saint Cecilia, Father Eglasias was finding it hard not to smile despite his own apprehension. Kubwa was warming up for the afternoon with an old hymn, one that had become a mantra to her, allowing her a way to enter into the proper state for her singing, and through that her other talents, such as her vision. Yesterday she had had a vision that told her that a blonde young man would seek to take her away. He was waiting for the young man to show up,
