No matter you are coming back home from work or a late-night party, before you embrace sleep; removing make-up is very important. Removing make-up the right way is as important as applying the make-up and if you care for your skin then you should never ignore this crucial step of the skincare routine. To wake up to the glowing and breathing skin, make sure to cleanse your face removing every bit of make-up before hopping in the bed. And if you struggle with removing make-up every night, we have brought the best of tips that work well for removing the last bit of make-up off the skin.

Tips to Remove Make-up Properly

Take Your Own Time

The right technique to remove make-up means taking enough time to clean every nook and corner of the face. The slower you move your hands; the cleaner will be the results. If you are a lover of eye make-up then keep your patience under check because some make-up products have thick coats or base and need two to three rounds of cleansing. For example to remove eye make-up, be gentle with the skin and give yourself some time or else you would still have traces of smudge kohl or eye shadow.

Use a Cleanser to Remove the Make-up

Some people often use just Facewash to clean the wrong face. Before washing or scrubbing your face with Facewash, you need to cleanse the make-up using Micellar water or baby oil. For a rigid make-up base that takes forever to get cleaned, use Cotton Balls and Pads to remove make-up as it does not leave any residue on the face. These cotton balls are pure, safe, and hygienic that work best for facial care routine and make-up removal. Dip the cotton pads in oil or Micellar water and gently rub them on the skin.

Tie your Hair Properly to Cleanse the Hairline

Being too tired to remove make-up is very normal; however not removing make-up invites a lot of skin-related issues. Especially not removing make-up near the hairline is even worse as it leads to breakouts and clogged pores. Therefore it is always advisable to take your hair back in a bun or pony and while washing your face with cleanser, and make sure to clean the corners of your forehead.

Be Gentle with Your Skin

The process of taking off the make-up should be gentle and not harsh. Make-up that is smudge-proof and waterproof takes longer to get removed and if you rub your skin harshly, it might cause a burning sensation. Therefore be gentle with your hands while scrubbing or use cotton pads to wipe off the make-up. Just skim the surface of the skin in one direction to pull up the makeup removal regime.

Don’t Just Rely on Baby Wipes

We all know how easy it is just to pull out a baby wipe from the box and just wipe off the face. But if you are in the middle of removing make-up, don’t rely on just tissues or wipes because these soft wipes don’t remove the make-up properly leaving small corners of the face and neck. These wipes can be one of the steps in skincare or make-up regime but solely can’t guarantee a clean face.

Use Coconut Oil

If you don’t want to use skin care products with chemicals, using Coconut Oil is the best remedy. Having coconut oil works great even to remove the water-proof make-up. Just dab coconut oil on your face and rub your face gently. Using oil to remove make-up does not only clean your face but also works as a great moisturizer. This works best before taking shower. Just take cotton pads dipped in oil and apply all over the face and leave for ten minutes.

Take Face Steam

Another natural way to remove make-up is to take face steam. Take Hot water in a bowl and just lean over it for few minutes. Taking steam works great to open the pores of the face and removes all the dirt and impurities and also adds glow to the skin. There are a lot of benefits to take steam and taking a ten minutes session once a week is sufficient enough.

And that’s a wrap! Just keep in mind the following tips while removing the make-up and keep glowing.
