Glastonbury: How Come Everyone Wants a Ticket?
Next Sunday (October 7, 2018), millions of people will be waking up bright and early with the hope of purchasing a ticket to the biggest event in the UK's festival scene; Glastonbury. With demand far outweighing the capacity, tickets are snatched up within minutes, leaving many people with a feeling that I, myself have experienced, and never want to experience again.

Bestival
This time 9 months ago I told myself 2018 would be the year I throw myself into every new experience and opportunity I am offered. Admittedly, this hasn’t always worked out in my favour, with my main experience being the consequences that come with saying yes to absolutely everything and the realisation that this probably all stems from my deep rooted fear of missing out. Despite this, rewind to a month ago, when I was sat with some friends and listening in to their excitement about an upcoming festival, my "FOMO" came into play. Three hours later I had called work in a blind panic and miraculously booked holiday for less than three weeks time, somewhat a miracle when working in retail, drained my bank account to cover the cost of a ticket, and called my family to let them all know I would be taking a hiatus and would not be available to be booked for any family events from August 2 – August 6.

Delicious Vinyl Block Party on W. Adams Was Quite Delicious
The block party on W. Adams street in Los Angeles held by Delicious Vinyl right in front of their pizza parlor, Delicious Pizza, was an extravaganza of music and crowd goers. It was a the second annual Labor Day Weekend party that is held to commemorate old school rap and just delicious pizza.

#901Spotlight: Preesh Fest
Revisited Josh Stevens of Stu Stu Studios Memphis, for his new Preesh Festival June 8th and we took a few pictures and videos to share. This new festival with 19 acts on three stages, in two venues has been in the making for quite a while, and affectionately named 'Preesh Fest' short for Thanks 'PreciateIt. When one hears why it came into be in the first place, you totally understand the concept behind the name. This is the brain child of our former #901Spotlight feature, Josh Stevens and he did this as a thanks to the many local and touring bands he has worked with, did last minute openings, and just been all around decent people in their dealings. Thirty minute performances made for quick transitions between bands and a pretty solid live music experience. This is our journal of Day One held at the famous HiTone, located in the trendy, up-and-coming creative space of Crosstown here in Memphis, TN.

2018 Carolina Rebellion
The Carolina Rebellion has spent almost a decade bringing a captivating rock festival to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This isn’t just any festival. The festival organizers put a lot of time and energy into creating three days of exhilarating fun that is almost no holds barred. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t 3 days of profligacy. This is just a lot of fun-loving people coming together to enjoy great entertainment in all of its varying forms. In past years the festival has brought some of the biggest names in rock music. Yet, one of the nice touches about this festival is it also brings some of the rising stars, who are just on their way up. It gives these lesser known acts a chance to show what they are really made of. Some of the best performances of the festival aren’t always on the Carolina or Rebellion Stages. There is something about the festival environment that has every artist putting their "best foot forward," so to speak. It raises the par to the point that every artist is striving to give their best performance. It could almost be considered a friendly competition amongst contemporaries. Although many of these bands are friends, they are also friendly rivals. They each want to be proclaimed the best performance of the festival and leave their mark, make new fans, and in some cases make history. This year’s 2018 Carolina Rebellion didn’t disappoint. Each day brought something new and exciting and the fans were hungry for every moment of it.

Music Festival Do's and Don'ts
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mike and I were hanging out talking about the usual guy stuff—sports, what our plans would be for the weekend, new music that had dropped—when he brought up how excited he was for EDC in Las Vegas. Since they moved the date up from mid-June to mid-May, EDC falls on his birthday. Mike has been to his fair share of festivals but this will be his first time stepping into the euphoric lands of the Electric Daisy Carnival, so I started asking him what his expectations were. This led us to begin reminiscing on all of our past adventures in the wonderlands of raves, laughing at how far we had come from when we were rave babies and unaware of the unwritten do’s and don’ts of the PLUR culture.
