Suzic's Music Journey
Suzanne Carroll, aka Suzic, is a singer, songwriter based in Waterford, Ireland. She was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1967. Her love for music originated from her grandfather, Samuel McNulty, who played the fiddle in a show band. She looked up to her grandfather as a source of inspiration and as a role model. It was in those early years that Suzic fell in love with music, as music has always been part of her life. Her journey through music began in 1982 when she started recording her music in Dick Keating’s studio’s. Keating is known for writing the song 'Here Today Gone Tomorrow' which was a representation of Eurovision.

On Music and Mistakes
When I first heard of this scholarship, I thought, “Oh, how easy! I listen to music all the time!” As I began to think about it, however, I realized that I didn’t actually have a song that changed my life. Of course I have had songs that I absolutely adore, that make me cry, that make me scream out against the injustices of the world... After all, my music has shaped me into the person I am. However, I have never had a song that truly saved me. So I kept this scholarship in the back of my mind, but was ready to let it go if I couldn’t think of one.

"Manage Me, I'm a Mess"
This is the story about the song that started it all. The song that introduced me to my love of music. The song that convinced me that I am in fact in love with music. The song that has led me to attend almost 70 concerts in my 25 years on this Earth. The song that helped me realize that music would never let me down, that it would be there whenever I needed it, no matter how I was feeling. The song that would help me understand how important music is to me and how much I really need it in my life. This is the story about THE song that started it all.

Will "The News" go on without Huey?
The first time I heard the name "Huey Lewis and the News" was when a friend asked me if I wanted to go see them in concert. It was 1981. I looked at him and asked, "Who the heck is Huey Lewis and The News?" In '81 I was listening bands like: REO Speedwagon, Styx, The Police and Journey. The name made me think a band from the 50's. I told my friend I would pass. It was a decision I lived to regret.

Five Rock Bands Making A Comeback
Many rock artists from the late 90's - early 2000's are making their way back into the world with new songs, covers, and tours. For some reason, I have yet to uncover, many of the famous musicians from the early 2000's fell of the grid until the past two or three years when many of them have once again taken to the stage.

"Home" Is Where the Art Is
The perfect parent doesn’t exist. There will never be a guardian with flawless parenting or the supernatural sense of knowing exactly what their children need all the time. However, every parent and child will come to experience the bittersweet fact of life called pain. Pain echoes in the hearts of the emotionally neglected with a perfect resonance that could bond them or break them. It transforms our relationships with one another and our relationship with life. That echo has reverberated for generations. In my time, the echo thrust into me through the song “Home” by Three Days Grace and it not only woke me to the pain I didn’t understand or know how to express, but also acted as my personal catalyst for self-expression and retrospection through the arts and friendship.

9 Best Peter Gabriel-Era Genesis Songs
Sadly, there exists some--in fact, I would say, many--people who believe Peter Gabriel just materialized out of thin air in 1987 to create So, and hasn't done anything of merit before or after. There are actually quite a few people who aren't aware the band Genesis was fronted by him, before Phil Collins took the band in a more mainstream direction.

The Concert that almost was
Last year I heard that Daryl Hall and John Oates would be touring and coming to The Bank Of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, NH (about two hours where I live.) I had plans to go and was about to look online for some tickets when a friend of mine emailed me and made my day.
