Davis went on to be Governor of Louisiana from 1944 – 1948. One of the best known cover versions was recorded by American country singer and songwriter Johnny Cash in 1989.

“Sunshine on My Shoulders” is a song that was recorded and co-written by the American singer and songwriter John Denver. It is featured on his 1971 album Poems, Prayers & Promises. The song went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Walking on Sunshine” is a song that was written by Kimberley Rew for the British rock band Katrina and the Waves. It is featured on their album of the same name. The song became their biggest success in the UK and won them the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 held in Dublin, Ireland.
