WOW! This content is loaded with my musical memories.
I neve have these..
Great collection of songs! I love the song”Rock and Roll Music.” Chuck Berry took that song into the top 10 reaching number eight in the United States. The Beatles did record a version of the song and it did receive a good amount of radio AirPlay but it did not make it onto the charts in the US., I do not believe it was released as a single. However in 1976 The Beach Boys took the song all the way to number five having the highest charting rendition of the song in the United States. Alan O’Day who wrote “Rock and Roll Heaven,” which was a hit for the righteous Brothers in 1974, was a popular songwriter in the mid-1970s. He wrote the song “Angie Baby,” which was a number one hit in the United States for Helen Reddy. But Alan O’Day took it one step further and he had his own hit with this song “Undercover Angel” which was a number one hit and the United States in 1977. Thank you for publishing this stroll down memory lane with some really great songs.
R- Rock On O- Ozzy C- Cool is always in K- Keep your spirit
Two songs made me cry. 1. 'Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through' by Meatloaf 2. 'Diary of a Madman by Ozzy Osbourne. These two are extremely important and special to me. They both saved my life during a time when I was going through a lot of trauma and mental health problems. I wrote a story about Meatloaf a while ago, and it made a Top Story. Sadly, Ozzy passed away on 22nd July 2025. He was adored by many. We gave him the name 'Prince of Darkness.' I have lost count of the tears I cried when I found out. Your story is very entertaining, and it's good to remember the people who kept Rock and Roll alive. Maybe, you'll write one about Elvis Presley, who is another one very dear to me, if you haven't already.
That old video from The Beatles is pure gold in the history of music.
