Out-Bloody-Rageous
Another Bloody Mikeydred Playlist

Introduction
"Bloody" is the only swear word that I have ever heard my dad use, and I don't swear all that much. For some reason, the Soft Machine title "Out-Bloody-Rageous" started running through my head and could be applied to so many situations today.
I was going to use an AI image for this playlist, but I love the Supertramp "Crime of the Century" cover with all its implications, and it is a great album.
So let's leap into this "Bloody" playlist.
Soft Machine - "Out-Bloody-Rageous" from "Third"
This is nearly twenty minutes long and takes up side four of the double vinyl album "Third". The first five minutes consists of almost ambient sound before flowing into Soft Machine's signature jazz-rock sound.
I like it a lot, but others may not be so taken with it, but give it a whirl, you might be surprised.
Supertramp - "Bloody Well Right" from "Crime Of The Century"
Though I do not regard Supertramp as jazz this bears a lot in common with Soft Machine's "Out-Bloody-Rageous". This is AOR (Adult Oriented Rock) with a little jazz and humour thrown into the mix. It's only four minutes long so you can give this a try of you don't know.
The album "Crime Of The Century" is probably their finest and it is consistently excellent, and I love the science-fiction-influenced album cover.
U2 - "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from "Under A Blood Red Sky"
I know a lot of problems with U2, especially Bono's posturing, but there is no doubt that this is a great and powerful song, absolutely relentless. I have chosen the live at Red Rocks version although it was originally released to open the album "War".
U2 were aware when they decided to record "Sunday Bloody Sunday" that its lyrics could be misinterpreted as sectarian, and possibly place them in danger. Some of the Edge's original lyrics explicitly spoke out against violent rebels, but they were omitted to protect the group. Even without these lyrics, some listeners still considered it to be a rebel song—even one which glorifies the events of the two Bloody Sundays to which the lyrics refer.
Lady Gaga - "Bloody Mary" from "Born This Way"
I am a fan of Lady Gaga, she was brilliant in "American Horror Story: Hotel" and this song starts off sounding very like Alex Harvey's take on the Jacques Brel song "Next", with that stabbing string sequence. This is a this millennium song and I think most of you will know it, or at least have heard of Lady Gaga.
Ayra Starr - "Bloody Samaritan" from "19 and Dangerous"
Ayra Starr is Nigerian and this song is another slice of relentless Afrobeat. The initial violin intro softens you up for the power of the song. Very impressive.
$uicideboy$ - Bloody98 (Feat. Ghostmane) from "Yin Yang Tapes: Summer Season (1989-1990)"
This is a vicious rap song which reminds me of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise".
Coldrain - "Bloody Power Fame"
Apart from the opening to "Out-Bloody-Rageous" most of this playlist is hardly relaxing, and this slice of goth metal keeps up the pace. This is another impressive song and one more discovery for me.
Woldewil - "Bloody"
This is strangely ethereal driven by piano, synth strings and reverbed vocals.
I can't find anything about the artist/band but their YouTube channel is here and they seem to be on almost every streaming platform.
Machine Gun Kelly - "Bloody Valentine"
This is a fairly quiet ending to the playlist and contains some naughtier adjectives rather than the one in the title.
Thank you for reading and hopefully listening.
I put a warning flag on the story but I think the title will have warned off the more genteel readers.

These pieces one will have to be a some sort of mood to really listen. Good work.
I'm gunning for Machine Gun Kelly and My Bloody Valentine.
Love this!!😊💕💗💖 Thank Mike!!🎉🎉🎉
My favorite is the first two, I love their instrumental. Excellent title. "Bloody" does not sound like a curse word to me because being an American it's not a curse word. Excellent, Beat Story as always. I like Lady Gaga and Machine guns songs but these two songs, could not get into these two songs.
