I was a child when The Beatles came along and missed the great excitement of The Fab Four. After I found I really enjopyed thie rmusic. However, it seemed as if as soon as Beatlemania had begun it also ended as quickly. Luckily The Beatles left plenty of music behind for future generations to enjoy. The Beatles officially dsbanded in 1970. Of the four of them Paul McCratney, John Lennon, George harrison, and Ringo Starr only Paul and Ringo are alive today. The song that actually started all the excitement was "I Want to hold your Hand" and it became so popular that they also recorded it in German. I have provided both versions.

"I Want to Hold Your Hand" is a song recorded by the English rock band The Beatles. It was written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. They recorded the song in October 1963 in the UK. The song went to number one and became the band's first American number-one hit topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was the start to the British Invasion of the American music industry. The song became The Beatles' best-selling single worldwide.

"Komm, gib mir deine Hand" The Beatles. The German singles came out in March 1964 and featured on The Beatles US album Something New.

"All My Loving" was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. It is featured on their second UK album With the Beatles. In the US the song charted on the Billboard hot 100 chart. It was sung by the band as the opening number of their debut performance on the TV show "The Ed Sullivan Show".

"Something" was written by George Harrison, the band's lead guitarist. It is featured on their 1969 album Abbey Road. It charted on the UK Singles and the Billboard Hot 100 charts. "Something" received the Ivor Novello Award for the "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" of 1969.

"Here Comes the Sun" is another song written by George Harrison. It is also featured on the album Abbey Road. Harrison also san the song and it is among his best-known compositions. Along with Harrison's acoustic guitar the track features a Moog synthesiser. This reflected the continued influence of Indian classica music in his writing.

"Blackbird" was written by Paul mccartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. The song is featured on their 1968 double album The Beatles/The White Album. It is performed solo by Mccartney. McCartney said the lyrics were inspired by hearing the call of a blackbird in Rishikesh, India.

"Come Together" was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon-McCartney. It is the opening track of the 1969 album Abbey Road.

"Yesterday" was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lenon-McCartney. It first came out on the 1965 album Help! except in the US where it was released as a single in 1965. The song went to number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is featured on the US album Yesterday and Today.

"Let It Be" was written and sung by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the band's final single before McCartney announces his departure from them. It is featured on the album of the same name.

"The Long and Winding Road" also appears on their album Let it Be. It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. The song became the band's 20th and final number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Strawberry Fields Forever" was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon-McCartney. It came out in 1967 as a double A-side single with "Penny Lane". Lennon based the song on childhood memories playing guitar in the garden of Strawberry Field, a Salvation Army children's home in Liverpool, England. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was later included in the US Magical Mystery Tour album.

"Penny Lane" was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. The lyrics refer to Penny Lane, a street in Liverpool. They mention the sights and characters that McCartney recalled from growing up in the city. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is also featured on the album Magical Mystery Tour. In 2011 the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
