Alice In One Hit Wonderland
A Playlist From A Meme From Stanton's Sheet Music

Introduction
I saw this meme on Facebook from Stanton's Sheet Music and thought that might be an interesting playlist to put together for the Vocal Beat Community.
I will share the songs plus the lyric snippet from the meme, and some of my observations.
A one-hit wonder is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success.
So here we go:
Survivor - "Eye Of The Tiger" - "Thrill Of The Fight"
Theme from Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky", muscular poodle rock, that only troubled the charts with this song. You may guess that I'm not that impressed but tens of millions disagree with me.
Terry Jacks - "Seasons In The Sun" - "We Had Joy, We Had Fun"
Another one that I think is pretty awful eulogising the death of a friend. Don't worry there are songs on this playlist that I think are fun and even worth listening to .
Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy (For My Shirt)" - "I'm Too Sexy For My"
Not too fond of the record, but I love the attitude and it is great fun. Also, the theft of the motif from "Third Stone From The Sun" by Jimi Hendrix impressed me and makes me ok with listening to it.
Vanilla Ice - "Ice Ice Baby" - "Ice Ice Baby"
He claimed he'd never heard "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie, but let's face the rapping is rubbish, and the only memorable bit of this record is the bits stolen from the Queen/David Bowie record.
Baha Men - "Who Let The Dogs Out?" - "Who Let The Dogs Out?"
Before I started putting this together I had only heard the chorus, which always brings a smile to my face but parts of the song are actually very listenable although other parts are not quite up to scratch (so to speak, that wasn't meant to be a pun).
Musical Youth - "Pass The Dutchie" - "Pass The Dutchie"
In September 1982, the group issued the single "Pass the Dutchie", adapted from the Mighty Diamonds' "Pass the Kouchie". The record went to number one in the UK Singles Chart in October 1982
This is a record I was always fine with, and it is featured in series four of "Stranger Things"
Norman Greenbaum - "Spirit In The Sky" - "Gonna Go To The Place That's The Best"
If this were released today it would still sound contemporary. The guitar sound is still stunning. A stunning hit that has kept Norman for over fifty years. Possibly the best record on this playlist.
Carl Douglas "Kung Fu Fighting" - "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting"
I don't think everyone was, I once joined a Dojo but just couldn't remember all the moves so had to drop it. I've never really been a martial arts fan but Cobra-Kai has me hooked.
The Buggles - "Video Killed The Radio Star" - "Video Killed The Radio Star"
Buggles were a one-hit wonder but Trevor Horn didn't stop there. According to many musically, he was:
"the man who invented the eighties".
He went on to form the ZTT record label (ZTT is an initialism of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti's sound poem Zang Tumb Tumb, which described "zang tumb tumb" as the sound of a machine gun.)
He also performed with many artists and bands including Ys, as well as producing and directing many others such as Frankie Goes To Hollywood and The Art Of Noise.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading and listening and I hope you found something you enjoyed or remembered.

So many classic one-hit wonders. It makes me think, why? Some of hem are really good and you would think that there must be more in the locker
Yes, what a walk down memory lane and believe it or not I can still hear all the songs in my mind even today. Great job.
What a walk down memory lane.
What about Baltimora "Tarzan Boy"? That's a great song. "London Nights" by London Boys is another cracker on my playlist. Already got *Kung Fu Fighting" too. Oo! Oo cha! Loved this, Mike!
