Sunlight also affects our mood and helps regulate our sleep patterns, through its effect on the production of the hormone melatonin. However, too much exposure to sunlight can lead to skin damage and increase the risk of skin cancer. Therefore, it's important to protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays by using sunblock, wearing protective clothing, and seeking shade during peak sun hours.
