"You ready?" "Punch it!" You gotta admit, you were skeptical at first when your date asked if you liked water skiing. "Duhhh... who doesn't?" Your text message surely got them stoked. Had it not been for that you would've never gotten this first date, let alone a reply.

Nuzzling her with its snout, Ciannait worried for her. She was still breathing, but wasn't getting up to move at all. "Hehe," she wheezed, "good boy." She stroked his muzzle, "Ciannait," he leaned closer, "you must-" she choked through the pain, "get home. You have to warn the others. They can't come out this way. They can't come looking for me."

As the storm raged on, sleep eluded Emily. She tossed and turned relentlessly, chasing sleep. The air outside was cold, but warm inside; perfect harmony. Yet, she couldn't help as the feeling of regret gnawed away at her. Pushing away from her dog, she left the room to get some fresh air, opening the door silently so as not to wake him.

Your Character Needs To Get Their Ass Kicked
Why am I deciding to write this? Simple, a lot of writers, especially in popular TV and film media have fallen into the trap of easily handing their characters: main, protagonists, antagonists, side, flat, round, etc. a life on easy street. Now, here's the thing, every character isn't going to have the same developmental process or journey. Some characters will need to be humbled more than others just based on their inherent nature and/or upbringing. That's right, nature vs. nurture just comingled on this piece while I'm about to give You a piece of my mind.

Edit: Correction of grammatical and spelling errors. Alright, let's go on and see about this challenge that Judey made. 100 thoughts in 20 minutes? Doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully by the end of it I won't have too many thoughts that are overly similar. I got my cellphone right next to me, with the timer set.
