Is there any real accountability within the El Paso Police Department? El Paso Police Chief Peter Pacillas promised transparency within the Department. As yet, the Department has not issued a single press release about Officer Nasik Elomari, badge #2306, not only driving while drunk, but also hitting several cars while doing so.

The Church Veiled
On Monday of the fourth week of Lent, I volunteered as a docent at the Basilica of San Albino in Mesilla, New Mexico. The church employs docents to keep the doors open throughout the day and to answer any questions visitors may have. Near the end of my shift, a couple entered the church and asked why the statues within the church were draped in purple cloth while the Stations of the Cross were not.

EPPD PIO Jeopardizes Public Safety
This article was updated on 30 March 2025 to include the name, photo, and crminal history of the suspect in this case. On Sunday afternoon, we were provided with information about the suspect in this case and obtained a copy of his ID photo from public records.
