Reason First: Not Comforted by Prayers
Like many people within the current culture, Jas Prince, son of Rap-A-Lot Records mogul J. Prince, called for prayers to be lifted up in this case. Since there is no God, there is no reason to pray. However, when tragedy strikes and emotions run high, the feeling to offer up lamentations to the unknown and unknowable seems fitting to many.

Charlamagne Attacks Ye’s Ego
Ye’s got problems. But Lenard “Charlamagne tha God” McKelvey seems to have bigger ones, or at least more. Mr. “Lesser Charges” has stated that Ye will not bounce back from his fall from grace and that “he won’t be here much longer.” This is sad. A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a young woman is taking shots at a man who clearly needs a better prescription drug “cocktail.”

Plaint for Takeoff
Lyricist Lupe Fiasco proclaimed on his track “On Faux Nem” that “too many rappers get killed.” Period. There were no bars that followed this statement until the chorus, just instruments. The beat just played. This ominous statement remains to be true with the recent murder of Kirshnik Khari Ball better known as Takeoff of the Migos.

He rode motorcycles after being released into the witness protection program and was shot dead in a 2017 Dodge Ram. Martinez “lived” his life as a low-life drug dealer and murderer.
