The Atheist’s Prayer
He stood to his feet. His eyes opened. And his head tilted upward. He opened his mouth: “Earthly realm, hallowed be your name. You have begun and continue to be my place of work and rest. You are my only and the best. Until I explore even more, I will be a productive being in this world. I will trade with my fellow man and woman and reap benefits from your beautiful bounty. Mountains serve me along with water bodies and plains. It is all for me in my selfish way. I now appreciate that I can exploit you forever.”

Bruised for Iniquities
At a Bible study in Newark, Delaware, Oscar Grovington asked a simple question to the twelve or so people there. “So is Jesus still wounded from being on the cross? he was supposed to be wounded for transgressions and bruised for iniquities, but he showed Thomas on Earth. So did he ascend back into heaven with his injuries?”

High Powered
It took too long. The blade being replaced on the wind turbine kept disconnecting from the larger apparatus. All of the crew members became frustrsted. Others grew antsy. They wanted the thing to just pop in the socket like an arm or a wing. The blade gave them grief.
