Life After Love: Part 8
MARLEY Giselle had fallen asleep in my arms again, and I couldn't bear to move her just yet. She was sleeping so peacefully, so comfortably in my embrace, I didn't want to wake her until Freddy came to get her. This has been our routine for the last couple of weeks now. We all took shifts looking after her, but she spent most of her time with me or Freddy. I'd like to think she almost preferred it that way. I hoped she did. I felt just as protective of her as I would for my own child.

Life After Love: Part 6
MARLEY Rodeos were the top priority for tourists in Texas. People from all over the fifty states, and some from all over the world came to watch the cowboys and girls ride their bulls. Ever since horsemanship and bull riding became multi-million dollar sports, people went crazy in these parts, placing bets, eating carnival food, and lets not forget the live concerts we got to experience right after the competitions.

Life After Love: Part 5
SERENA Another night spent at Daniel's farmhouse and I woke up again to the sounds of the early morning birds and farm animals. Daniel wasn't snoring beside me, which let me know he was probably out running errands, or getting our old farmhouse ready for us to move in again. Either way, today was the last day I was going to spend here.

Life After Love: Part 4
MARLEY The warm clear blue waters of Sylvan Beach felt amazing as my body swam through it to get to the surface. I took a deep breath as I rose above the water and flipped my short curls out of my face. My toes and feet sunk into the sand as I made my way back towards my beach chair for my towel. I was halfway dry when I noticed a shadow next to my own.

Life After Love: Part 3
SERENA Birds, roosters, and the entire animal kingdom managed to wake me up. It wasn't the usual sound of my alarm clock, but since I crashed at Daniel's farmhouse last night after the party, I had no choice but to deal with it. Rubbing my eyes awake, I moaned as I sat up and looked for my favorite pair of slippers. Again, nowhere to be found considering this wasn't my house and all of my belongings were in the trunk of my car and in storage. I needed to find a place to live as soon as possible. There was no way I was going to get any sleep with all these farm animals around.

Life After Love: Part 2
MARLEY Celibacy definitely had its perks. It was a cleansing of the sexual kind, and I was doing just fine without it until Serena decided bringing Michael to Danny's birthday party was a good idea. Freddy and I had gotten busier during the last three months, with barely any time to spend together. Not that we were official in the traditional sense. But we did have a few dinner dates in between our busy schedules. And there was definitely some flirting going on. All I had to do was focus on something else. Anything that would get my mind of off how much I missed the warmth of a man on top of me. Or beneath me. I wasn't picky.

Life After Love: Part 1
SERENA Stumbling straight into the third trimester of this pregnancy, I felt myself in a much brighter mood. My skin was glowing, my sleeping patterns weren't as messed up. The only thing I wasn't handling well was the heartburn. This baby did not like me eating fried foods, which sucked because that's all I've been craving lately. That and boxes full of chocolate bars. I carried one in my hand, taking a bite out of it as I pulled up to Pasadena City Jail, parking on the curb as I waited.

Exes and Oh's: The Finale
SERENA New Years Day. A day where people made resolutions for the new year. Some tried to lose weight. Some set financial goals. Some were determined to find love and make it last. For the five of us, today's goal was to make it through this meeting with Rita and Gabe's lawyer. We hadn't succeeded in finding Gabe's murderer, and we decided it was only fair if we handed the investigation over to the professionals. A million dollars held no value next to justice. And Gabe deserved as much. Rita as well. Which was why Daniel had reached out to her and asked her to meet us at the lawyer's office before we all went our separate ways again.

Exes and Oh's: Part 25
MARLEY Christmas was looking to be a lighter day considering I woke up to breakfast in bed instead of my obnoxious alarm clock. All Freddy's doing. Even though he was supposed to be resting and I was supposed to be planning tonight's festivities. The man was incapable of sitting still. But I appreciated every moment he sat beside me, shirtless, wearing festive silly boxers just to make me laugh. I couldn't hold my amusement in when he kept shifting and Rudolph's red nose kept moving right along with the junk inside his pants.

Exes and Oh's: Part 24
SERENA "This isn't weird at all." Marley's sarcastic tone registered as I opened my eyes and caught her looming over me, while I laid across the grass on top of Gabe's grave. The sky was a warm blue today, but the temperature had turned a bit icy overnight. Both indoors and outdoors apparently. Daniel and I weren't even arguing anymore. We said hello and goodbye when we needed to during therapy. We put up a good front in front of her, but I had a feeling she wasn't buying the pleasant act we were portraying in her tiny office every week. We talked about the kid growing inside of me, how I didn't want it or was remotely prepared for the responsibilities that came with it. Daniel heard none of it. The only words he kept holding onto was that I didn't want to have it.

Exes and Oh's: Part 23
MARLEY They were hiding something. That much I could tell when Serena and Danny remained two quiet mouses munching on their food during dinner. They'd only been going to counselling for a few weeks, and I was pretty certain spending weeks at therapy wouldn't unwind years worth of unresolved issues. But today wasn't about their drama. Today was about family and the renewed bond we continued to share, thanks to Gabe. I made a silent prayer in his honor before I began to empty the plates into the garbage disposal and Michael helped me place the plates into the dishwasher.
