Iowa Film Critics Choose 'The Holdovers' as Best Picture
The Iowa Film Critics have announced the winners of their annual Critics Awards. Critics from the Hawkeye State, myself included, announced our choices for the best movies of 2023 and Alexander Payne's The Holdovers was the big winner, taking Best Film, Best Actor for Paul Giamatti, and Best Supporting Actress for Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

Critics Choice Awards Predictions
The Critics Choice Awards will be live on The CW Network on Sunday, January 14th at 6 PM Central time. Chelsea Handler will be the host for the show that will feature the SeeHer Award for the incredible America Ferrara and a Lifetime Achievement Award for Harrison Ford. Barbie leads the Awards nominees with a record 18 Critics Choice nominations but does that mean that Barbie is the favorite to win the big prize?

New Trailers Drop for 'Mean Girls' and 'The First Omen'
New year and new movies to look forward too in 2024. There are many highly anticipated feature films set for release in 2024 and a pair of those movies now have brand new trailers. 20th Century Studios have dropped their first trailer for the upcoming prequel to the horror classic, The Omen, titled The First Omen. At the same time, Paramount Pictures released the final trailer for their musical adaptation of Mean Girls which is just days away from it's theatrical release.
