Should sperm donors be allowed to meet their children?
Last week, I wrote a piece for a short story competition that wasn't everyone's cup of tea. A sperm donor goes in search of his offspring, bringing turbulence in his wake. 'Why would he do that?' some asked. 'Is that even allowed?' others questioned. I realized people have strong emotional feelings on this topic.

Thursday and I'm Looking Back
In high school, we had a personal development class. After being split into small groups, we were told to share our strengths and weaknesses, our hopes and fears, our personal experiences. The personal development coach, who for some reason was also our PE teacher, surveyed the class afterward. I was voted as the one who shared the least about themselves. I’m going to try to make up for that now.

Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman
I'm oppositional. If everyone is doing things one way, I'll ask, why does it have to be that way? And then I'll probably do the exact opposite of whatever everyone else is doing. My whole life, the people around me advised me that this was not a good plan. To get ahead in life, it's better to keep one's head down, blend in, and not try to prove other people wrong.

AI Tales of a 90's Stripper. Top Story - August 2023.
I used to be a stripper in the 1990s. I loved my job, but as time went on, I realized that I needed to grow up and move on. When I was stripping, I had a few go-to songs that I loved to dance to. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard was always a crowd-pleaser, and “Cherry Pie” by Warrant was another favorite. I also loved dancing to “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC. Slowly removing my clothes and revealing more and more skin always got the crowd going. I also loved doing the pole dance, twirling around the pole and showing off my flexibility. Looking back on those days, I realize how much I've grown and changed. But I'll always have a soft spot for the music and dance moves that made me who I am today.

Cashless for 24 hours in Shenzhen China
The perils of travel in China are not what you might expect: the ubiquitous police presence, the surveillance cameras on every street corner. No, for a tourist carrying their only passport and all their credit cards in a cheap backpack slung over a shoulder, a heavy security presence debatably works in their favor.

Booba at Barbenheimer
Booba looked down on the ridiculous blue planet below. He had parked The Hand Of God on the far side of their moon and was keeping a low profile until he decided what to do. The persistent ache in his 7th knee was bothering him, and this planet's resemblance to the one responsible for flinging the antimatter torpedo at his starship during the Battle of Lookai intensified that ache.
