Once an Asshole...
After twenty years, a reunion with a father confirms a long held belief. It was a beautiful summer afternoon. Marcus, an inquisitive 8 year old was in the back yard with his mother. His father walked out the back door and handed his mom some papers, then walked back into the house. He continued out the front door and kept on going. She looked at the papers and began to cry. His father had just handed his mother divorce papers. It was totally unexpected.

A French Connection
It was a clandestine meeting destined to make both men rich. Paris, 1888. It was early morning and the city of Paris was beginning to wake up. Horse drawn wagons were busy hauling freight to and from nearby businesses. Men dressed in top hats and tails drove their small horse drawn buggies to and fro while riders on horseback did their best to stay out of the way. It was a bustling neighborhood. Johnathan Peters sat at a small outdoor table at a streetside cafe. He was feeling very content as he sat in the long rays of the morning sun sipping on a cup of strong espresso. He took a lot of pleasure in watching the ever increasing bustle of a city coming to life.

The Rabbit Trail
It was a rabbit trail and she was on it. She should have known something was up when the message came in. Intuition was something she prided herself on, but not something to be relied upon 100% of the time. Sometimes it was just plain wrong. This was one of those times. Now here she was, investigating a false lead in an abandoned warehouse and things weren't looking so good.
