Black Women: The Introvert
Everyday we experience some form of life on our own. We laugh, we cry, we sing, we dance, and there aren't always people watching. If you ask an introvert like myself, we prefer if our days were spent in solitude and often have a hard time opening up. The discomfort that comes with expected verbal expression can become too much and I enjoy myself being a very quiet person.

Letting Life Happen
One thing I've learned in the past 3 years is that moving on and loving yourself is essential for growth. If we mentally tell ourselves that we won't make it out of what's happening and that we don't deserve better, we'll never reach a point where we actually can see positivity. Now, I'm not talking about the kind of positivity that forces you to believe everything will be okay when you know in your heart that it isn't; nor the "smile anyway the pain" kind of positive. I'm talking about the positive of moving on and knowing you are worth so much more. The positive of making it through those situations and being able to look proudly in the mirror.
