A Real Man
What is masculinity? When we think of the word masculinity at the moment the second word that will come to most peoples head will be toxic. Phrases like men are trash have become common place around the world. Recently there was a trend where women were asked would you rather be stuck in the woods with a man or a bear? The overwhelming majority said bear. We're in a time where men are changing they do not need to be the head of the house or go to war and I feel like this is leaving a lot of men lost. This is an era where men can talk about how they feel and aren't required to be emotionless robots who's only purpose is to provide.

Be kind.
Why must I be kind? In a society where I feel we are more connected than ever we seem to be ignoring each other more and more. People don't seem to talk to one another whether this is down to the fact that they see themselves as too bust I don't know. From my experience paying a stranger a passing compliment will evoke one of two things, a smile as they look down at the item of clothing you complimented or a look of confusion as if to say "why?". From my experience after receiving a compliment it is something I feel good about for a long time and is a massive confidence boost if I'm feeling down. Being kind is so simple and can make a person feel so much better about themselves for a long time. Offer to help someone it doesn't take too much time out of your day and will save someone else some time in theirs which they will appreciate.

Wigan Athletics' academy the backbone of the club
To start this off we have to look at the most successful of Wigan’s academy products and that is former Everton and England full back Leighton Baines. Baines came through the Latics academy in 2002 where he went on to play 145 times for Latics scoring 4 including an absolute stunner against Ipswich town. Leighton would achieve promotion to the top flight with Latics in 2005 being a key part in the young squad impressing all season. In 2007 he moved to Everton for a suspected £7.5 million fee which was huge for the club and allowed for reinvestment in the top flight.
