Bio
I've been writing for a few years in my spare time. I'm trying to find my voice, though I'm not sure if I'll know when it's here. For now, I'm just enjoying the journey.

Ernest Finds a Box. Top Story - September 2023.
Large like a truck with rough edges and sides, it was the biggest box Ernest had ever seen. Who put it in the middle of his cow pasture wasn’t the biggest question, how did it get here was; and second to that…what was in this darn thing?

Pitra
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. The sea bubbled and roiled in appreciation of the show and often joined the choreography with its own ebb and flow. Sometimes the clouds would kiss the water, and the waves would laugh spraying mist into the sky, creating a rainbow of delight. It was plain to see that they all loved one another.

Brigida. Second Place in Time Traveler Challenge. Top Story - March 2023.
Large and looming, the arch and thrust of the joists make for a perfect hanging place. The red wood-planked sides rise tall to meet the posts that knit the walls together, while the white trim that outlines the crisscrossed wooden doors glows brightly in the dusky light of Montague, Massachusetts.

The Other Side of the Mountain. Top Story - August 2022.
The deep airy whistle echoes in my ears, haunting and heartbreaking. Keening like a banshee, its loud wailing rouses me from my slumber. The supporting soft chug and sigh with the clack of striking iron keep rhythmic time with the sways of the car that rock my body back and forth.

Dragon Love
There weren’t always Dragons in The Valley. It was shortly after the summer solstice when the first one arrived, cruising through the sleepy little mountain town on his loud rumbling motorcycle, the obnoxious intruder disturbing the slow peacefulness of the place as he rode up to the Park and Sleep motel at the edge of town.

Rina's Dream
Clutching the throttle, Rina pulled back hard, cringing a little at the pain in her shoulder as she brought her small ship to an abrupt halt in the docking bay. It felt good to be home. With no fuel for her jump drive, the trip back was three weeks of boring with nothing to do but think about how she got herself into this mess.
