A Queen's Tale
They revere being a “Queen” on a day to day basis, but do they really know why that crown is heavy? It sits on the top of your head and at first the bedazzling sparkles of the jewels eclipse your eyesight and you are entranced just like everyone else. It looks so beautiful. The blue and red afterglow of the gems being projected on the World’s Canvas in front of your eyes are purely and utterly wonderful in your line of sight. It helps to take the mind off the crown. At first. Only at first.

The Arrow: Pulling Yourself Back
Being aimless is a dangerous thing. You have this immense pressure on yourself that you feel weighs you down. It’s like every time you have a big bright idea or huge waves of happiness and inspiration Life knocks you: You broke up with your partner, you got fired from your job, you gained weight, you became depressed, you lost a good friend in your life, and then oops: You dropped your arrow.

The Generational Obsession with Body Image
I believe that body image has never been a more prevalent issue in our society than it is right now. We can’t even go to the grocery store without seeing a plethora of magazines promising us a new “healthy” body by enticing us with flashy language such as “melting,” “watching,” and “shedding” the weight off. We can’t stand with our delicious food moving up the line without seeing at least one “hard hitting” photograph of a healthy celebrity with some kind of caption stating how they are gaining weight, or are too “fat”. Let’s not forget the “calorie counting” captions that captivate us and then catapult us into math figuring frenzy (I mean if we didn’t hate math as it was already…)

1. Stop Expecting, Just Enjoy And Be Your Honest Self. Everything Will Be Alright as Long as These Two Things Are Done. This may sound like some hippy shit at first but I promise you this is the one rule of life that has remained consistent for me.

Life's Purpose
There is no greater purpose in life than to serve others with the natural abilities that we were given at birth. I firmly believe that we all have a perception that can change, not just one person, but many around us that we come into contact with. In my opinion, there is nothing more fulfilling to me than creating something that changes someone else for the better in a split second. I stopped creating things for people because I doubted my ability to do so and the importance of my work:

It Begins with a Forgiveness
In a garden far and wide there is this one lonesome rose that sits embedded on a pedestal. Crimson tints your vision as you can't help but to covet the being immediately, it's penetrating beauty connecting you to the living entity, and suddenly you are happy. It's just sitting there. Curiosity begins to walk with the intent on meeting Captivation. In the air, what is that? Permeating a dusty pink hue eclipses the world, there's this rising fall deep in your core you haven't yet explored and your heart begs, no, implores, you to relinquish control but of course you can't, not once more...

A Special Push
“I thought you’d be running the world by now.” His words shattered my eardrums, reverberating down deep where my soul once had been. It had been ringing in my head for 4 years ever since I graduated from college. Deep inside I held dear to the notion that all my friends did long ago: “You’ll do something great”. But 4 years later, I had failed on all syllables. Every time I repeated them, I repeated each and every failure as well. Why couldn’t I be who I was in Fargo?

What Every Struggling Student Needs to Hear
I’ve been subbing for a few months now. The last few months of subbing have shown me some surprising repetition among the students. No, these students don’t all come from the same cut cloth, or clique, or whatever generalization you’d like to make. These kids are the full spectrum of personality and background. Within that kaleidoscopic spectrum, I found some common themes that may shock you.

My Friend Jess: Jessica Roscoe's Tale of Triumph
What if I told you that there was a girl who, through the tumultuous love affair of despair and hope, transformed into an enigmatic treasure trove of a woman? Who inspired ceaselessly, who stunned gracefully, and whose gravitational pull was so strong, people would find themselves lost in the light she radiated. That light would pull them in by the hand as if to guide a friend to a new adventure that would forever be imprinted in their memory.
