The Cheshire House Three
Hello Journal, There was so much noise last night that I barely slept. And when I woke up, I heard footsteps coming from upstairs. Like someone had broken in and was taking their sweet time walking around. So I did what the first person to die in a horror movie does. Got out of my room, walked to the stairs and called out,"Is anyone there?"

The Cheshire House Two
Hello Journal, Last night was, in a word, AWESOME. I slept so well and I have never felt so cold in my room before. It's so good. I'm happy that my grandparents air conditioning is working so well. Otherwise I'd wake up in a puddle of sweat. The weather was supposed to be in the nineties today. So possibly another swim before bed. Possibly. I dunno, today's agenda is pretty much just do whatever I'm feeling. But I don't really feel like doing much of anything.

The Cheshire House One
Dear Journal, Hey. I just got you from my Grandmother as a birthday gift and way to keep myself occupied. Well aside from watching t.v. or movies. Cuz they don't have WiFi here, so basically I'm going three months without it. But it shouldn't be too terrible. I have gone a long while without it and I was fine. Sure it was three weeks but same difference.

The Man Inside
When I was twelve, I saw my neighbor's niece start her transition. At the time, I had no concept of what a trans woman or what transgender was. But, I really liked this girl. Not in a crush sort of way but, an admiring sort of way. She was also really loved wearing punk stuff a the time. I was kind of envious of how she looked and acted.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Twelve
The pair arrived at the cabin a lot sooner then he had hoped for. A whole lot sooner then he had hoped for. And his stomach dropped as he realized just why Hawthorne picked her out. She was well and truly isolated from everyone else. So much so that it made him think of a horror movie. This definitely makes the poor woman easy prey for anything. Hell, she'd be easy prey for human beings who wanted to hurt her. If he were being utterly honest.

The Gnawing Hunger Thirteen
When Bo finally got back to the cabin, everything was quiet. There were absolutely no sounds or signs of life, either. Bo still held his breath as he walked into the room. Doing his best to possibly tip toe through the kitchen. Fearing that someone was up but that he couldn't hear them. And he didn't want to do anything to get them to notice he was there. Partially resisting the urge to hold his breath as he did so. Yet, there was no one awake or any real signs that someone was awake.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Fourteen
Despite everything that he tried to not think of the creature. He couldn't stop himself from it. Hawthorne cropped up in every single one of his thoughts. Bo had walked outside for the briefest moment to combat them. As he feared what his Mom, Grandpa, and Xander would say about his facial expressions. Or the fact that he was so quiet while standing there for so damn long. Every part of his thoughts were centered around the idea of hi-it showing up there. Forcing him to do terrible things, worse then before. Not making him just watch it work this time around. Forcing him to do things that he would deeply regret. Since it seemed to have some strange hold on him that no one else did.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Eleven
It wasn't that long until he found himself waking up. Struggling to not scream as he sat up in bed. Quietly putting his hands over his mouth to further muffle any form of noise. Trying to not wake up his sleeping friend. Fearing that Xander wouldn't just accept that it was a nightmare. Despite everything that had happened, he might not accept it. And he really wasn't in the mood to talk about any of this with him right now. Instead Bo struggled to calm himself down as he lay in bed. Putting his hands down from his face after a few minutes.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Ten
After struggling with Hawthorne for a moment, Bo found himself walking out with the creature. His hands were being held tightly in the other man's. It didn't feel so scary at the moment. In fact, he found it strangely comforting in a way. Though he would never admit to it. In fact, if he were pressed about it. He would vehemently deny the whole loving feeling.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Nine
Hawthorne. The skinny man was consuming his every thought as he sat on the bed. More then this painful hunger was doing deep in his stomach. Or whatever he could actually consider this terrible pain inside himself. As it felt so much stronger than simple hunger. As his dinner hadn't done anything to stop it. Neither did the pretzels that he had been munching on. Which seemed to only make his mouth run dry. The taste of the savory snack was so utterly disgusting to him.

The Gnawing Hunger Part Six
After a quick shower, Hawthorne seemed to be a lot better. A lot more alert than he did earlier that morning. Smiling ear to ear as he walked out. Wearing clothes that he borrowed from Bo. And Thorn promised to wash them before giving them back. He was so grateful that he had brought a belt with him. Otherwise the pants wouldn't have fit him properly. Though Thorn hadn't done much with his hair. It was washed and looked good but it seemed like a hassle. Bo asked,"Would it be cool if I braid your hair, Thorn?"

The Gnawing Hunger Part Seven
For the rest of the day, Bo kept an eye on his phone. It was kind of dumb for him to be hoping for something. After all, he just dropped off Hawthorne at that hotel not that long ago. And there was no way his Mom could get his stuff to him so quickly. Yet, there was a part of him that couldn't stop hoping for it. Or wondering how long it would be until Thorn could talk to him.
