Rachel Reviews: Flight 444 by MJ Mumford
I really like MJ Mumford's books. This is the second one of hers that I've read and again, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They are easy to read and I can whip through them without any jarring or questioning - they flow, the characters are believable and I feel satisfied with where she takes me plot-wise.

The Mascot
"Morning, Mr. Humphries," Paul shouted as Mr. Humphries headed out. Paul knew a secret about Mr. Humphries but he would never tell anyone. Not because Mr. Humphries had told him not to, because Mr. Humphries didn't know he knew, but because he, Paul, wanted to keep it to himself. He was young, but he sensed that Mr. Humphries would not want others to know. He felt like it would bring trouble to Mr. Humphries so he kept quiet.

Rachel Reviews: Timeblink by MJ Mumford
I think that sometimes it is harder to write a review for a book that is good than it is for one that you didn’t like because if all of the elements are well-written for the most part, there’s not a lot to say. And Timeblink falls into this category: it was a really enjoyable read, tense and suspenseful with a plot that kept you guessing and a story that absorbed your attention.

Week 10 of Write A Story Every Day in 2024
Week 10 has a great ring to it, doesn't it? Stories keep coming although inspiration is sometimes sought, rather than presenting itself readily but that's okay. A little stimulus and I'm off again, like being prodded with a taser.

The Man with the Umbrella. Content Warning.
"Look over there! In that field! There's a man with an umbrella! Where's he going?" Michelle was always curious about what others were doing and he did look mysterious, shrouded as he was in the mist, with a furtive, purposeful length to his stride.

The Career Girl. Content Warning.
She got in and shut the door. Her journey home from the hospital tonight had been surprisingly easy. The train had been less full and she had been able to read a little of the book her sister had bought her for Christmas. She hadn't been able to pick it up for weeks.
