The Kool-aid We Willingly Drink
I've never fancied myself an activist - or "attacktivist" as I have often called them. I've never known a self-labeled activist that was pleasant. They were passionate to the point of combativeness. They were consumed with their cause and they struck down anything in their way - not with pretty words of persuasion, but with words wielded like swords, felling anyone or anything that stood between them and their goal. I was both appalled and in awe. I am outspoken. Sometimes very much so. But I've never fancied that anyone cared what I had to say. That anything I could voice would carry on the winds of change and make any difference at all. And where do you sow these seeds of opinion sent out to change the world? On social media? That seems most common because people can raise armies of followers. But I have grown weary, battle fatigued I suppose.

Series I'm Loving by Vocal Creators - Vol. 2
I promised I would turn my Series I'm Loving by Vocal Creators into ... well, a series. So this is Volume 2 of Series I'm Loving by Vocal Creators. Hopefully, I do the series on this list justice with my descriptions and provoke you to be as intrigued and captivated by them as I was. Although the list is shorter than last time, some have numerous episodes, so you'll have a good bit of reading to occupy you.

He Gave Us Comfort Even After Death
All lives end. They must. It's part of the cycle of life. But that doesn't mean we like it, or accept it. Losing people is hard. It never gets easier. Not even when you know it's coming. It's hard to say which is more cruel, sudden loss, or the known terminal spiral to death.

Playlist Eclectica
Hi-di-ho partners, let's giddy up go and away. Or something like that. My playlists are probably a reflection of the ADHD that I didn't know I had, never been diagnosed with but have probably lived with for the whole 62 years I've been alive. There's not a lot in music that I don't love (maybe not metal), but here are some of the random things I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

Series I'm Loving by Vocal Creators. Top Story - August 2021.
I was drawn to Vocal by the Challenges. I was a writer in remission but thanks to Vocal, I'm currently experiencing a creative flare up. It is so nice to have that all over itch for writing again. It had been gone from my life way too long. Vocal is an awesome place to showcase creative works. And that brings me to the showcasing part.

Life at Beck Farm's Frozen Pond
Rowan sat very still as the stag approached the frozen pond. He had tried for days hoping for an ideal encounter. Carefully, he raised his camera and clicked some shots in rapid succession. "Hello, old friend," he murmured as he reviewed the shots in the back of his camera. Fondly, he remembered his first chance encounter with Big Stag three years ago when taking photographs for an article he wrote called "Life at Beck Farm's Frozen Pond." That day changed everything.
