2025 Executive Orders Explained. Content Warning.
I know that there is a lot of information flying around, but I wanted to make a series with a brief summary of all that is going on right now. As such, here is a breakdown of April's Executive Orders. I have fallen behind on this due to the circumstances of living under this kind of bonkers regime. I am catching up now.

Cutting Off The Helping Hand. Content Warning.
I hate being right. Four days into this presidency, I said a whole bunch of things, and already more than one of them appears to be happening. Admittedly it was not the changes I expected right away, but the ramifications are beyond what I would consider to be recoverable. In short, what is about to happen is going to be irrevocable damage, and will result in widespread global destabilization, in addition to internal destabilization.

With a Whimper. Content Warning.
Author's Note: I am not a political scientist, the below statements are my opinion only. I have been relatively quiet for the last few years. Things in my personal life have been turbulent, but I am now at a place where silence is no longer an option. Before the election, I knew it was a lost cause. With the systemic defunding of education, the American public lacks the critical thinking skills to act in their best interest. If misogyny lost the first election for Clinton, then racism and misogyny lost this one for Harris. When this same thing happened in 2016, I wrote a lot. I wrote about what this meant for the country, and what kind of portent this painted for our future. I got called a lot of things, but most prominently I was called a fear-monger, an extremist, and a feminist killjoy. Looking back at those articles, I was correct about nearly everything I said. I said, that with his winning, we would see the decline of respected science, leading to a largely preventable epidemic. I said that we would see non-white children in cages, separated from their families. I said that we would see a rise in gun violence in public places. I said we would see an attempted coup to retain power. I said a lot of other things, but I think those are the big points. In 2016, at the start of it all, no one ever thought any of those things would happen. And yet here we are.

Enough is Enough
I don’t often share advice about job searching or finding the right job for you because I find that so much of the advice that is out there about those topics is just… so fucking milque-toast as to be completely unuseful. It feels like an AI generating your horoscope to me. Like, “Leo, you know you should be feeling fabulous but your insecurities are getting in the way.” Yeah of course I know that, and of course my insecurities are getting in the way, but you could have said any sign in front of that and most of the people reading it would be like, “Yeah, totally.” The articles that I have found that detail how to find the “perfect job” or how to “crush an interview” are all so needlessly vague, that they sound on the surface like they might actually be useful advice, but in the end, it’s just more clickbait internet confetti. I have no idea if any of this will be useful to anyone but me, but it has been how I have found the jobs that fit the best for me. I also promise that I will not sound like some chatbot writing an essay full of buzzwords that are meant to make you nod along so as not to look stupid in front of your peers. I don’t need to do that. If my little AuDHD brain can find not just one but several jobs that make me feel good about myself, that I can be confident in doing, and not hate myself every time my alarm goes off, then there should be hope for everyone… right?

Is She a Bitch, or is She Just your Boss?
When I sat down to write this, I had a lot of ideas on what I could focus on, but as I started to outline my talking points I realized that I had way too much to just focus on one thing. As a result, I am going to break this up into the two main points of divergence on how women in leadership roles or just women in traditionally male-dominated fields are perceived, and how we can flip the script and do better.
