As the car turned the corner into our private road I saw it; despite my bloodshot and teary eyes I could not miss the sudden glass construction touching the sky at the top of our hill. I had left the house only 4 hours ago and, after living on this hill for almost 47 years, I was pretty sure that thing was not there when I left for my husband’s funeral this morning. Or any morning for that matter.

We think we know ourselves, or that we should. I mean, we live inside, we are the ones who move our steps, our lips, our hands to grasp the world and yet… how much do we even trust ourselves? Am I alone or is there others who can admit, who can just look and say: I am a stranger to myself?

How To Fix Yourself In Case You Ever Break
I think compassion is the only term we need, paired with patience. But then again, those are two words not one. Yet one in this case cannot exist without the other as it is the synergy of compassion and patience, the self-love multiplied by time giving us that healing unguent we would need in case of crack. The glue of healing.
