Sex is not a skill. It is not a tool. With any body you choose to engage with, you are meant to come as an empty cup willing to hold the tea you create with that person and appreciate it for what it is and what it will never be, and you'll find yourself blessed with more.

The Heart of a Woman
For a few years seeing that book in my mother-in-law's house, I found it disinteresting, sometimes weighing on me as if I knew how I would react to whatever I was reacting to. I didn't know the book's content outside of it being the fourth edition of her biography. I only knew that I wasn't called to read it. Not yet.

A Conversation, Part Two.
When speaking of White people and what they have done to the world using the power they possess, Mr Baldwin suggests that wielding White power would hurt more than - dare I say - slavery. Losing love for our children = losing love for ourselves, and a slave master is willing to enslave his child for profit. If he didn't, the entire system would collapse, and "chaos" would reign.

A Conversation, Part One:
With just the introductions made by the producer of Soul, Ellis Haizlip, I was immediately taken aback. Every time I hear, watch, or read something from the past made by Black people, I feel a sense of belonging and how amazing it must have been to live in and experience that time. It is quite "duh" that slavery and fatal oppression were an enormous smear on the whole thing, so really, I speak of these past century fantasies and aspirations in imagination, without the impossible-to-survive circumstances we were dealt, either by the greater forces out there or, according to the Blackroots books by an anonymous author - the circumstances we dealt out to ourselves. The Blackroots books can be spoken of through a multitude of audio, visual, and written pieces, hopefully coming in the future of my work.

Apartheid: Let's Set the Record Straight
You set the record straight. This piece is quite late, and I hesitated to post it all those months ago because I doubted my words. I was triggered into confusion and oblivion hence the first draft of this piece was an emotional spiral and ignorant. This is a more thoughtful version, let's get into it.

Ke Mosebeletsi!
Though I have not yet received the knowledge of how I am to dress as a Mosebeletsi, my ancestors on my father's side are the Bapedi people and how they attire themselves represents me in the time being. As the givers of my enlightenment, I feel their presence and speak their tongue with the utmost understanding, without even knowing their language.

The Tyranny of the Mind of a Black Person
Internalisation of what was the concept of the black person through 'The Man's' ideas in times of slavery and deadly racism, has, thus far, been the most successful tool of colonialism and continues to bear fruit and sustain the shadow of authority our oppressors once had over us. In too many ways, does this authority still mandate how we live, perceive and love.
