Are Our Stories Still Being Moderated By Vocal?
Introduction The reason I am writing this is that I believe that the Vocal Moderation Team have been let go, and then our stories are suddenly being published almost immediately after their submission. I am unaware of any official change in method or policy from Vocal and they have never acknowledged any question I have put to them in my fourteen months of Vocal but I am just one of seven million on the platform, although they recognise me as a Top Creator in Beat for some reason.

You Are Inspiration
I was speaking with a great friend and she was surprised when I said that just chatting with her gave me inspiration to create stories. I told her that we all inspire each other when we communicate and she did say that my poetry inspired her. She may reveal herself or she may wish to remain in the shadows but you may guess who she is. She is excited that I am going to write a poem for her and it will be a villanelle.

The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel
The Kelpies The Kelpies A few years ago I was driving up the M9 towards Dollar in Scotland, it was dark and raining and suddenly I nearly crashed the car when I saw two huge hundred-foot-high horses' heads to my left-hand side. I had to pull over. I am not sure if I tried to take a photograph but I was dumbfounded.

A Few of My Favourite Tyneside Bands
Introduction A lot of these bands are no longer with us but all of them were worth seeing when they were performing. A lot are still going as well so all is not lost. A couple such as Bon Jordi, Radge Against The Machine and Benwell Floyd are not included because they are from a decade back and I have not heard of them recently.

Going Down To The River
This is my third new entry into the Vocal "Get Comfortable" Challenge Today my Muse, her daughter and a friend have gone down to the river for a day of total relaxation, and I told her that “River Girls” would be a great poem to write, then I realised it was a bit close to “Green River Girls” that I wrote for her and her daughter, so I thought maybe a butterfly cinquain would be a beautiful way to celebrate a relaxing day for mom and Autumn and Autumn’s friend. This is just a little comfort poetry inspired by my Muse.

Ten Succulent Slices of Little Feat
Introduction I am not sure when I first heard Little Feat, it must have been in the seventies and I did like their music. They had their own brand of Americana similar to The Band or The Grateful Dead and are still going today with some original members.

Eleven Examples of Musical Naughtiness
Introduction I was listening to a Supercharge album “Local Lads Make Good” and the final song “She Moved The Dishes First” came on. It is anything but subtle but I still find it very funny, although many people may find it a bit too naughty for them.

The Memes Of Ruby And The Mystery Cats
I have only met Caroline Wilkinson once, she was performing at the Cluny 2 playing an Iggy Pop song but she is also Ruby of Ruby and the Mystery Cats, a red hot rockabilly rock and roll combo vaguely located around Tyneside.

Moving Towards Positivity. Top Story - August 2022.
Introduction I see a lot of posts and memes that focus on negativity. Often people say they are done with being kind or giving second chances and they will only be happy with taking revenge for some wrong or another. This can even generate hate which is never a good thing. While I can become angry with some events and even people I never let it degenerate into hate because that is a destructive situation and usually I am not in full knowledge of all the facts behind what happened.

Get Comfortable In My Villanelle
This is my second new entry into the Vocal "Get Comfortable" Challenge I thought a villanelle would be a good form to try for this challenge, to emphasis how we all love to get comfortable. There is also a lot of love and a little Hygge in there too.
