The Slow. Honorable Mention in Tomorrow’s Utopia Challenge.
Glasses clinked as the guests dressed in white floated around me. I stared at the bubbles in my glass as they slowly dissipated. First budding on the side, growing until the laws of the universe took over and it rose floating to the top. Each reaching their demise with a fizzing pop. I never drank on the job.

The Portal
She sat on the other side of the one way mirror. Her purple crocodile skinned bag propped up on the grimy interrogation table. Sleek black cocktail dress that fit her like a glove, tanned skin and brown hair tied in an artful knot. Sharp brown eyes examining her glittering pink nails. Starry Starry Night
My madness papered the wall infront of me. An artwork of newspaper, printouts, medical records and swirls of yellow and blue string. In the middle of it all a photo of my brother.
