Hi, my name is Meagan. I am a mom to four kiddos whom I homeschool. I am also a glassblower, creator, and writer. I aspire to finish and publish my memoir, but it's going to take a lot of time and coffee. Coffee is a verb, do you coffee?

Raising my voice above the din, I ask my friend Pam for a simple lemonade. I've dreamt of this moment all year. I quickly add one additional request and hand her a glass I produce from my bag.

Dear Ashley, I can't imagine you would remember the moment you changed my life, but you did. The moment itself was unremarkable, dreary even. Perhaps that's why I was waiting for my mom inside the cafeteria after school, as opposed to outside on the concrete steps. It was in that mundane moment that you tipped the first domino in a long, intricate, path to my future.
