All that glitters

Is Christmas

Twinkling

Twinkling

Sparkling snow

Heavily laden branches lay low

Glitter or stardust ground into flakes

Fallen from heaven or further in space

All is quiet

Beneath blanketing white

Everything shimmering

Even at night

Twinkling

Twinkling

Strands of light

Piercing the darkness

Casting it away

Dissolving the shadows

Holding demons at bay

Twinkling

Twinkling

Mystical star

Brilliant and new

Calling kings from afar

Leading them carefully

To a tiny tot

A stone manger

The lamb without spot

Twinkling

Twinkling

Glittering hope

Light in the darkness

Never alone

Holiday

Glitter or stardust ground into flakes, - I loved that line. This challenge was before I joined, so I was doubling back reading. Nicely done!!

  • This felt so lyrical and I sang it to my own tune. Loved your poem!
