Look out, here she comes
Will someone explain to me – in a way I can, maybe, understand – what AI involves? I'm too technologically challenged even to fathom the very concept...the possibilities. I'm probably more confused about this than I was when someone tried to explain how a facsimile (fax) machine worked back in the 1980s. I still don't understand completely. That’s a lie. I still don’t understand at all. It's fallen into the category of 'things I don't need to know'.

Tweethearts
A small flock of starlings had gathered on the hydro lines around a lamp post. It was a pleasant evening in early spring and most of them were preoccupied with romance. Benny, the biggest and oldest of the bunch had been regaling them with an in depth recounting of his love life. Among those listening were partners Frank and Ella, the two who had just flown in from parts south; and Harry and Denise who had been living in the general neighborhood for two years. They liked it there and had decided to put down stakes and call it a life.

One Husband Too Many
In Chapter Five, Jake goes to the Sheppard house to speak with Elise. Her mother tells him she isn’t home and shares that she has been living with Elise and the children ever since Rick’s murder. After a few pertinent questions and some pleasantries, Jake returns to the precinct where he finds Greg’s cell phone record on his desk. In scanning through it, he sees a number that seems familiar.
