Ah! Baseball! The season for some of our favorite stars to entertain us once again after a long winter’s respite. As a child, I watched all the Brookly Dodgers’ games with my dad and never once did we ever think of Spring Training. For whatever reason, no one ever mentioned it before, during, or after the games. Baseball season began and ended! Period! One always assumed the players enjoyed a long vacation between summer seasons. Things have definitely changed through the years.

When I was a kid, we seldom saw motorcycles on the streets of the part of Brooklyn where I lived. Most motorcycles were seen in the movies. We would hear of the escapades of “bikers” from the newsreels. You know the kind: those stereo-typical leatherjacket wearing toughies that you know where just looking for trouble. It was just that era of movie sensationalism.

Here Comes Love
Amy stood at the open bi-fold doors of her closet, as her eyes raced through every piece of clothing carefully hung on plastic hangers. It’s not that she cared that much about clothes, but her mother always said thin wire hangers eventually distorted the look and shape of whatever you put on them. It became an unconscious habit to buy plastic hangers every time she bought clothes.
