Blood of my Blood
Aileana’s chest heaved as she ascended the cragged incline, her footsteps a silent cadence against the wild thistle and heath. The Highlands lay before her, a tapestry of greens and purples undulating with the capricious will of the wind. Here, nestled in the quietude of nature, the cacophony of courtship and duty faded into the whispers of breezes through the bent grasses.

Blood of my Blood
Aileana's breath misted in the cool Highland air; her gaze fixed on the distant target. With practiced grace, she drew the bowstring taut, aligning the arrow with her intent. The world hushed to the whisper of wind through heather and the creak of bending yew.

Blood of my Blood
Ewan's form undulated, scales shimmering with the dying light as he retreated into the shadow of an Ancient oak. It was a secluded place, where the whispers of the forest spoke of enchantment and old secrets. With the grace of leaves falling to their final resting place on the autumn-kissed earth, his mighty dragon body contracted, contorting in a silent dance of transformation.

Blood of my Blood
The night wrapped the Highlands in its cool embrace as Aileana pressed her steed into a daring gallop. Moonlight cast a silver sheen over the undulating terrain, turning each rock and thistle into ethereal sculptures. Her heart thrummed against her ribs, keeping time with the thunderous beat of hooves against the earth. The wind whipped through her hair, unfurling it like a banner behind her

Blood of my Blood
Night had unfurled its velvety cloak across the sky as Ewan, with the sinuous grace of his Dragon form, cleaved through the cool air. The moon, a silent sentinel, bathed the world below in a lustrous glow that danced off his shimmering silver scales. He was a spectral vision, an ethereal creature borrowed from the realm of myth and legend, gliding above the sleeping kingdom.

Blood of my Blood
The wind held its breath, and Lady Aileana Glenroth became the stillness. Clad in her hunting garb, -a blend of earthen tones that whispered of forest and heather- she stood poised as if carved from the very landscape. Her fingers caressed the smooth wood of the bow, an extension of her own sinew and bone.

Inner Ramblings. Content Warning.
I've always loved spending time outdoors, whether its hiking, sitting at the creek listening to music, or gardening; I love to write, obviously, and sometimes I did take notebooks down to the creek to write. During the times when I can get across the creek, and when I have time -which hasn't been lately- I like to hike the hill on our property. Fourteen acres of nothing but nature: truly I'd rather spend as much of my time surrounding by nature, as possible.

In Love and Lattes
As Lizzie sat at her favorite corner table in the cozy coffee shop, the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped her. She absentmindedly stirred her caramel latte, her thoughts drifting to the charming barista who always seemed to know just how she liked her coffee. With a shy smile, she watched as he carefully crafted each drink, his brown hair falling into his eyes as he worked.

Journal of Shadows
As the shadows crept closer, Sarah felt a chill run down her spine. She clutched the old, worn journal to her chest, the key to unlocking the mystery that had consumed her thoughts for weeks. The moon cast an eerie glow over the abandoned mansion, its windows boarded up and ivy creeping up the walls. Taking a deep breath, Sarah pushed open the creaking door and stepped into the darkness beyond. The floorboards groaned beneath her feet, and she could hear the faint sound of whispers echoing through the hallways. With each step she took, the sense of foreboding grew stronger, but she knew she had to press on. As she reached the grand staircase, a sudden gust of wind extinguished her lantern, plunging her into complete darkness. A cold hand brushed against her own, causing her to gasp in fear. She strained her ears to listen for any movement in the blackness surrounding her, heart pounding in her chest. There was a low rumble, almost like distant thunder, that reverberated through the mansion. Sarah's breath caught in her throat as she stood frozen in place, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. The darkness seemed to press in on her from all sides, suffocating and oppressive.
