The Diva's Diary - 2
During the first day of the Diva’s stay in the bunker, her husband was checking on her whenever he had a break in his meetings. He watched her on security cameras wandering from one room to another, checking the main computer and her smartphone for Internet connection every two to three minutes, attempting to call her girlfriends, trying to see if the TV would show her anything more than a static screen, and moving around desperately in search of something to do.

Global Wealth Disparities
I've had a discussion with someone about the state of the global economic affairs and had to pull some data illustrating why the young people are getting increasingly disengaged, frustrated, and quiet quitting from the traditional work patterns and business models. It's not that they don't want to work, it's rather that they've cracked the code: No matter how hard you work and how dedicated you are, your life situation will be improving only incrementally, if at all, when you hold a traditional job.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Top Story - June 2024.
I've audited a night course in Horror and Scifi Film from a colleague who is a great expert in both genres and who selected interesting movies for the class to watch, representative of a particular sub-genre or cultural trend of the time. I enjoyed the course tremendously, watched the films I never saw before and had a chance to participate in insightful discussions with eager and engaged students.

Desperately Seeking Investments
Russia is under international sanctions for its war of aggression against Ukraine. One of the countries they are looking at for help, collaboration, and investments is China. It is indicative that this recent story of a creative partnership came in the wake of Putin's recent visit to China. Here it is:

Becoming Known
If you ever watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, you may have seen the segment where he uses a "highly scientific questionnaire" of 15 life-defining questions to interview his guest celebrities and make them "known" to the world. Those interviews are always fun and I often give my own answers along with the celebrities. Some of them are quite witty and somewhat educational, I think, so I've decided to write them down.
