I grew up in Miami, which is where I became obsessed with writing. I started with poetry at 9, eventually moving towards short stories and novels.

Fun fact: At 11 I won a contest that got one of my poems published in book.

I guess you could say everything that she felt was finally reaching a boiling point. The despair hid easily behind a persona of happiness, a persona that was in place enabling her to pretend that she was in charge of the decisions that had been forced upon her. it was all crumbling.
