A Mother's heart and strength
In memory of Mamie Till-Mobley ( Nov. 23rd 1921- Jan 6th 2003) and Emmett Till ( July 25th 1941- Aug 28th 1955) We all know the details: Emmett Till was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. During the month of august 1955, He was visiting relatives near Money, Mississippi. One day on a trip into town with his cousins, he allegedly spoke to 21-year-old Carolyn Bryant, the wife of the store owner. Bryant took offense and accused Emmett of disrespecting her, which during those times was a violation of the laws in the Jim Crow era. Several nights later, Roy Bryant and his half-brother J.W. Miliam tracked Emmett down at the home of Mose Wright ( Emmett’s great uncle) and forced Emmett to go with them. After Emmett was forced to go with them , he was beaten and mutilated before they shot him in the head and used a cotton gin to weigh down his body in the river.

Playtime with Toy part 1
Once or twice during my sleep, I felt His fingers running through my curls, lightly caressing my body, or tracing over then adding more cream to the fading welts on my behind. Then I opened my eyes and saw Daddy smiling down at me before dropping a quick heated kiss on my forehead then my soft lush lips. I felt my body respond as always to that kiss moaning and squirming a little as I lay under the pile of blankets.

Reluctant Forgiveness
The warm summer night outside the Emerald's Flesh Palace was sultry with banked anticipation from the crowd waiting to enter. Word had gotten out that the reclusive star was to perform, something she has rarely done lately since her marriage and all the drama that followed. Could it have been the rumors that something may have happened to her rival over at the newer Jewel club ?

Survival talk
Perhaps you are wondering what talk I am referring to? What talk? Is it the sex talk perhaps in which we educate our children? Or is it the talk in which people of color give to their children on a daily basis? The talk is a discussion in which African American parents ( and other people of color) sit down with their children and explain to them how to survive. My parents told me ( a young black female) when going into a store don’t touch because people might think you are stealing. I was also told to be polite to police officers and never mouth off. There were other things as well that were taught but some I learned without my parents guidance. I learned from watching their ( rare) interactions with police.

The Boss
It was a lovely Monday morning and I had just started working for a new company. I got up and dressed in my most professional outfit with delicate lacy underthings edged in lavender to match my suit. I headed to work early hoping to meet my new boss, Mr. Godfrey, and get a feel for my work area. As I walked into the building, I bumped into a tall hard body which caused me to fall backwards showing the lavender lace edged garters and lace thong beneath my skirt. I quickly closed my legs and looked up at the person who I had bumped into and realized he was looking down at me with a smile offering his hand to help me up saying " I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't looking where I was going."
