i sit and think of all that
happened in 2021
pain and heartbreak
love and new joy.
one minute has passed
and i wonder what
2022
will have in store for us all.
Heartbreak for the families that lost
some one on the last day of 2021
Rest in peace Betty
the country mourns your loss keenly
Thank you for always being a friend.
now the clock reads 1152 pm.
and the countdown begins
