I can’t pretend to understand how it feels to be judged by the color of my skin, I can’t pretend to know the path that one is forced to walk,

Escape From Love
I am awake but I lay very still as I try to get my bearings to try to remember where I am at. Nothing feels real but my environment seems familiar. There is a fear brewing just out of reach that the blanket of the remaining webs of sleepiness won’t allow me to recall for the moment.
