Where Is 'Safe'?
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, safety, it seems to be a thing of the past in today's society. At this point mass shootings are just a regular occurrence in the US, which is beyond morbid. To become desensitized to such a display of violence should tell us that there is something seriously wrong with our current situation. These acts of terrorism are popping up in more and more locations as well, when the majority used to occur in a school setting. With any area posing a risk to our safety now, where are we supposed to feel safe?

When I look at the issues going on around us, I see so much hatred and division. But when it boils down to it, aren't all of our issues simply caused by our differing opinions?

Do You Take the Risk?
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, decisions, they can't all be easy, can they? We make countless choices each day of our lives. You decide what you want to eat in the morning, or if you even have enough time to eat a breakfast. You pick which way you drive to work, trying to calculate which route will get you there the fastest. No matter what the decision is, a choice is made and we don't always give it much thought. It's not that I hate decisions, it's the hard ones that kill me.

The Dangers of Being a Writer in the 21st Century
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, writing, how I love it so. But as much as I love writing, the whole concept also terrifies me. Nowadays it seems as though every original idea has been taken. If someone has an idea for a book, it may have already been written years ago. If someone has a specific beat in their song, it may sound just like one from the past. I mean Google it, I'm sure you will get pages of videos showing songs with similar words or beats. In this day and age, it is extremely hard to come up with something original that can't be compared to other pieces.

My Latest Funko Haul
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, my Funkos, the collection truly grows bigger by the day as my wallet grows smaller. You may wonder why I buy so many of these little toys. Well, I collect them because I've always loved fiction. Be it a movie, show or book I love them all. Being whisked off into different worlds and learning the stories of hundreds of amazing characters. So if a Funko is made of a character that I truly enjoy, then of course I'm going to buy it! Now that I've gotten that explanation out of the way, let's get into my latest additions!

My 'Supernatural' Fan Theory
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, Supernatural, how I used to love that show. I was completely and utterly obsessed with the series for a good year where I binged the first nine seasons. This had been a few years ago of course, because at this point the show is way past their ninth season. Even though I am not up to date on the show and have missed many seasons, I still can't help but think about the theory I came up with years ago. I currently own 16 different Funko Pops, but that number is almost guaranteed to increase when Christmas rolls around. Funkos: Are They Worth It?
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh, Funkos, what crazy collectibles these little things have become. Now, you may dabble in the Funko arts and have a few, or you may be a Funko Junkie who has a serious hoarding collection going on. Or, you could be a Funko hater and think these are just some ridiculous little figures. Where do I land on this scale? Well, I'm bordering on Funko Junkie. With a total of 16 Funkos currently, I am just a wee bit obsessed with these little guys.
